Due to our work & family's schedules, our choice of weeks probably wasn't the best option for a great deal since it was the week prior to school starting.  It was a also a little late in the season, making it a little warmer down in Mexico than preferred - thank goodness for cold drinks and lots of water activities.

With a couple of recommendations (Tammy & Pat @ M&M), we choose the Barcelo Maya Resort for our all-inclusive stay for the 4 days and 3 nights.  After we purchased our travel package from M&M Travel, the hunt was on for all the neat stuff we could enjoy while vacationing.  We did manage to make two very enjoyable trips away from Barcelo during the 4 days, one day trip and a night-time trip - links for pictures and information can be found below the Barcelo links on this page.
